In this outreach strategy, we screened Our Gorongosa across a variety of communities surrounding the Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique. This report presents evidence that the mobile cinema strategy engendered greater understanding in several key areas including: the role the park plays in preserving biodiversity; encouraging community girls to extend their schooling; and awareness of the role health care workers can play in maternal and infant health and nutrition. Numerous positive outcomes have followed these events, including knowledge gains and a reduction in poaching.
