In this report we address the needs of medical health professionals for up-to-date information and the opportunities for documentarians to tell powerful stories. Stories have the unique ability to combine the type of clinical information health care professionals need to excel at their work with stories of inspiration, empathy, hope, and joy that empower health care professionals to be the types of physicians and nurses they want to be. This presents a unique and powerful opportunity to filmmakers working in the medical, factual storytelling space but it takes a smart and strategic outreach campaign to reach these busy professionals. This report presents these opportunities in the words of today’s early career physicians, nurses, and medical school students.
