Indy Mitra

Indy Mitra manages the day-to-day operations of the post facility within HHMI Tangled Bank Studios and is a lead post production consultant with external production partners. He brings more than 10 years of experience to his role as post production supervisor. He also serves as the head workflow architect on the technical requirements for a variety of projects. Mitra ensures that all projects meet the highest industry standards and use the latest technologies.

Prior to joining HHMI Tangled Bank Studios, Mitra served as director of post production at Sirens Media, part of ITV America, where he oversaw post production for programs distributed to network groups including Discovery Communications, NBCUniversal, A&E, Scripps, Viacom and Disney. Some of the programs included “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” on Bravo, “The Vanishing Women” on Investigation Discovery and “Cheap Eats” on The Cooking Channel. During his eight years at Sirens Media, Mitra was in charge of hiring freelance post staff, managing the editorial and finishing schedules, researching and developing new workflows with cutting edge technology and ensuring quality control of all master deliveries. Mitra holds a Bachelor of Science in film and video from Drexel University.
